care model.

Through our two care models, we boost the development of children from marginalized communities. These models follow a health and nutrition program aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals set by The United Nations. By adhering to these goals, Nutriendo can elevate the care provided to the children in our programs and the communities we serve.

healthy breakfasts

Our breakfast consists of a taco made with beans, soy, amaranth flour, eggs, and chard. Our breakfast taco comes with a glass of milk and a piece of fruit. This breakfast is served daily by the mothers of the children in our kindergartens under the guidance of our staff and social workers.

The parent's participation in serving the breakfast is vital. Without their support, we would be unable to do this work. Through various policies and commitments, they can attend daily to serve, monitor, and log what happens during each breakfast.

nutriendo protein shake

The Nutriendo Protein Shake is a supplemental dietary supplement specially formulated for children with a high nutritional content. This shake contains amaranth, cocoa, cacti (nopales), soy, and rice.

formative workshops

Our Didactic Workshops serve as a core foundation for our program. The three aspects of our workshops are Nutrition, Personal Growth, and Disease Prevention. With the help of our volunteers, we continue to teach our children many important life lessons. Ranging from subjects in health and wellness to personal and family growth, our children learn the values needed to make them better citizens today.

The parents receive instruction from our volunteers in many Formative Workshops. By instructing the parents, we can translate the positive values and habits learned in the classroom and apply them in the household and community. These workshops allow for a positive transformation for the family and a positive impact on the community.

medical attention & evaluation

Twice a year, we measure the growth of our children, intending to have a system in place for follow-up and monitoring for cases that do not show optimal development. In the event of a child displaying chronic malnourishment, we provide medical attention and additional resources to provide support.

Through our partnerships with various schools and medical partners, we work alongside professors and students with a background in Nutrition and Nursing. We also work closely with a group of doctors from the Pediatrics College of San Luis Potosí.

volunteers

Our volunteer opportunities bring an increased sense of community to our program. By providing corporations and individuals the opportunity to participate in the health and well-being of our children, we show them that they are not alone. Our corporate volunteer program allows both national and international businesses to participate in upgrading and maintaining our schools.

Through our volunteer programs, we can also continue the development of our children. Our volunteers also focus on bringing joy and happiness to the children in our program. By participating in various activities year-round, our volunteers help us create a fun and nurturing environment.

general upgrades & amenities

The kindergartens we serve form part of impoverished and marginalized communities. Due to this fact, they don't count on the tools and resources needed to impact the development of children.

Through our Sustainable Cities and Communities initiative, which includes general conditioning in kindergartens, we can further the effectiveness of the Nutriendo Program. Through your donations and the work of the volunteers and parents, this segment of our program promotes a safe and nurturing environment and good hygiene in children.

*Our general upgrades include bathrooms, sinks, potable water installations, electrical work, fences, and kitchen areas.
